Phoenix Zoo
Camden and I went to the Zoo yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. When we first arrived most o f the big animals (the ones Camden can actually see...not the wild dogs hiding behind trees or little birds in huge cages) weren't out yet so we went to the petting zoo/farm area. Here is Camden in the barn and with the cow. I should have taken picts of him petting the live animals but I didn't feel safe propping him up against one. :)

After a few hours, Camden was all zoo'd out. He slept long and hard that afternoon. We are going again today...and probably Monday, now that I have an annual pass. I can get a guest in free everytime and kids under two are free so come and join us next time you're in Phoenix!

Park, Hike, House
I almost forgot! We had stake conference Sunday so after our meetings we had enough time to visit our new ward to be!! We were there a good 6 months ago and some of the families still remembered us even though we only stayed for the first hour (not because of our vibrant spirits or unforgettable good looks . We think they're just hungry for help! :)) It's a small small ward with lots of young families. We met a few of the families in our new neighborhood. I guess there are like 12 families that live there. That's exciting! We'll be put right to work and have an instant network of friends and support. Just one more reason to love the church! I'm going to miss our ward but I'm so excited to be a part of this new family!
****RANDOM!! BEFORE I FORGET: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAFETY GATES? WE NEED THEM FOR THE STAIRS ASAP! THANKS!***********

We're Recruiting

Yeay, We're having another Baby! Most of you already know but I thought I better make it official and Blog it! I'm NINE weeks along, DUE May 16th.
When I found out I was prego with Camden I went to see the Doctor thinking I was about 9 weeks along. After the ultra sound, we found out I was actually 19 weeks along. We could have found out the sex that same day had Camden not been camera shy. I wasn't sick with my first pregnancy, I wish I could say the same for this one. Oh well, it could be worse. At least I have the daily reassurance that I'm still pregnant (thanks for that pep talk Larin!). Baby has a heart beat, and with a sweet date like May 16th...I think I'm having a girl.
No, this baby wasn't an accident. Yes, we're more than OK with having kids 18 1/2 months apart. :)
Bring it on!

Growing
Camden has been napping longer than usual these past few days, which is obviously a blessed thang. I'm assuming he's growing or something. Sometimes after these lengthy naps I think he's going to wake up talking or stand an inch taller or something. He also decided Yesterday that nursing is just not his thing anymore. I tried not to take it personal but couldn't help but feel REJECTED! I'm kidding. I think he stopped because the day before he bit me like 3 times and this kid's got a mouthful of teeth! A few stern no's must have turned him off (I wish that worked with playing with the computer cords). So on to whole milk we go! He loves it, He's not quite a year but there's no way I'm buying formula and going through the hassle of making it and wasting it for the next 2 1/2 weeks. He guzzles this stuff down...just like his Dad.
Sleep and milk, the essentials of any growing mans life (or not growing).

General Conference, AZHobbs Style!
House Up Date
Cabinet are in. That was a surprise to us! I guess there weren't too many to put in so it wasn't as big of a deal as it could of been (cabinets can take the longest to install). The light fixtures are all up, even those on the exterior, and they look great. They also put in the pavers for our quaint little back yard. Oh, about the Cabinets, the top lip of them is the wrong color and we're not sure why but we'll make sure it's fixed before we move in on the 27 of November. That is our official closing day!

the big game
Saturday we went to an Arizona Diamond Backs game vs. the LA Dodgers. It was awesome! The Dbacks beat LA hard. I was surprised by how many Dodger fans were there...and how loud they were. I've been to many Dodger games in my life and don't ever remember them winning, we usually left at the 7th inning because the game was a little boring and they were losing so hard. I enjoyed rooting for the other side this time. Sorry Dodgers, I've moved on.
The Dbacks stadium may not have "Dodger Dogs" but it does have a POOL! I guess parties can rent it out and watch the game in the water. How cool is that.
Camden was pretty tired all day but he was fully awake and having a blast at the game. He loves big crowds and would clap when the crowd cheered. What a devoted fan, what a daddy's boy.
We were sitting in the nose bleed section but right over home base. The view was awesome. We saw a Dodger get smacked in the face from a ball bouncing off the base while at bat. He was a trooper though and finished batting (he never made it to first base...sad ending to the story).
We ate nachos and rootbeer and enjoyed the environment. The weirdest part was it took us just as long to walk to our car as it did to drive home. We live so close to the city...we love it. Viva Arizona!

Kids
No picture, just a thought. Camden loves to play with balls. That's normal but what I don't understand is why playing with them has to includes putting them in hard to reach places as quickly as possible. Under the couch, the table, behind the love sac. I clog the holes with cushions and blankets but he looks for the cracks and there they go.
Camden just took 14 confident steps (meaning they were completely vertical...none of those "on the way down steps included). Does that mean he's walking? I mean he is of course but only with me standing right there to catch him. To be "walking" does he have to master the take off and landing too? Gratefully, He's not pulling himself up with out a little help. It's great fun to see him walk but I'm not ready for the chasing. I like having complete control of when he walks...how controlling is that? Which one is considered his first? The first confident step or the "do something to catch my balance steps"? Iyo!
My 10 month old purposefully hits his head on things and then fake cries about it until sometimes he really cries. Is this attention seeking behavior or experimental business like throwing food? I watch him do it and try not to make a big deal about it. I've read about kids doing it over and over and liking it...that's supposedly normal and more common with boys, but mine clearly doesn't like it. I just think it's weird and funny...just wondering if any of your kids have funny quirks like mine. I better go, he's yelling at the table.

just keeping you posted
My Best Bargain yet!
Here is the BEAUTIFUL chest we also bought for 60% off but had to return because we just didn't have the space, we tried. I'm still in love with it. I've got some other ideas of how we can display our neat-o stuff. I love decorating! I've decided I'm going to finish my degree in design instead of human development. (I'm sure that will change again, don't hold me to it).
