2 week Count Down!

Come on in! (This is our new blue door)
Ahhhhhhhhhh! I love the wood floors!!

We'll be planting some trees, a few plants and potting some herbs. We may get a slide and swing or something for the kiddos, too.
And here is the carpet. I'd show you pictures of the bedrooms but they're just 4 walls and this carpet color. nothing special...YET!

Cabinets still haven't been fixed, we'll see how that all rolls out. Next Monday we have a walk through. Any advice on what I should particularly look for in the walk through? Questions I should ask? How picky should I get?

Adventure Saturday in SEDONA, AZ

Luckily, Pat and his fellow work buddies were awarded a short stay in beautiful Sedona for meeting some goals. They left Thursday afternoon. That night they went mountain biking for a bit and out to dinner where they ate rattle snake...I think that was it?! Anyway, some spouses and kids joined up with them the next evening after they finished a 10 mile ride, some brief meetings, a breakfast feast and long game of golf. The place was gorgeous. We stayed one night (one short night, I couldn't find Cam's play pin so he slept on the floor and woke up at 5am). Pat and I went for a morning drive through the changing colors of the canyon and then went out to breakfast. I LOVE going out to breakfast!! We tried to take a nap before our hike with the Hoopes and Mure families but Camden wouldn't have it. After the hike we windo shopped from the car (I was looking for a candy I've been day dreaming about for months now) we couldn't find a shop that might possibly sell them so we didn't stop. We went out to lunch and headed home.
What a breath of fresh air!! Like 2 years ago, Pat and I set a goal to have one "adventure Saturday" a month. We both love to be active and outdoors but it's so easy for us to just do nothing on Saturdays. It only took us 1 1/2 to get home so we've decided we'll make this our official spot for getaways once a month, until we find new, BEAUTIFUL places to go.

SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO GET AWAY, A CHANGE OF SCENERY, TO PUT LIFE SOMEWHAT BACK INTO PERSPECTIVE.

Birthday Boy!

This look on Camden's face was priceless as we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. I 'm anticipating next years reaction!
The boy thought the cake in the cone was lame, threw it right on the ground. I'd have to agree that his mom could have made it look a little more appetizing.
We gave him a piece of the big cake to eat and he couldn't wipe the dang frosting off of his face hence the following picture...
I felt so bad! Sorry little man!!
Thanks to all of our friends who joined us for a fun filled night! It was memorable, that's for sure!

Halloween Tricks and Treats!

Camden and I were both tricked and treated this Halloween with a surprise visit from Grandma Cheney and cousin Kylie. Pat was in on it and I was completely surprised to see them, not to mention completely ecstatic! As many of you know, Cam's birthday is the 1st and we were planning on a quiet little get together with friends for cake and icecream to celebrate. My mom the party animal wouldn't have it! She came with plates, napkins and even party favors for the 3 other kids coming!! Oh, it was a blast. I'm so glad Kylie could come with. I think spontaneous adventures like that are memorable experiences that everyone should have! Mom (and Pat), you are the best! Thanks for making my life so interesting!

P.S. Nemo won a costume party contest! I think it was his waddle that sold it!

Mom, sorry for posting this picture. I wanted everyone to see his tail!
