the big game

Saturday we went to an Arizona Diamond Backs game vs. the LA Dodgers. It was awesome! The Dbacks beat LA hard. I was surprised by how many Dodger fans were there...and how loud they were. I've been to many Dodger games in my life and don't ever remember them winning, we usually left at the 7th inning because the game was a little boring and they were losing so hard. I enjoyed rooting for the other side this time. Sorry Dodgers, I've moved on.The Dbacks stadium may not have "Dodger Dogs" but it does have a POOL! I guess parties can rent it out and watch the game in the water. How cool is that.
Camden was pretty tired all day but he was fully awake and having a blast at the game. He loves big crowds and would clap when the crowd cheered. What a devoted fan, what a daddy's boy.
We were sitting in the nose bleed section but right over home base. The view was awesome. We saw a Dodger get smacked in the face from a ball bouncing off the base while at bat. He was a trooper though and finished batting (he never made it to first base...sad ending to the story).

We ate nachos and rootbeer and enjoyed the environment. The weirdest part was it took us just as long to walk to our car as it did to drive home. We live so close to the city...we love it. Viva Arizona!

da House

This week they textured the interior and exterior walls, prep for paint, oh and added the stair rail.

Kids

No picture, just a thought. Camden loves to play with balls. That's normal but what I don't understand is why playing with them has to includes putting them in hard to reach places as quickly as possible. Under the couch, the table, behind the love sac. I clog the holes with cushions and blankets but he looks for the cracks and there they go.

Camden just took 14 confident steps (meaning they were completely vertical...none of those "on the way down steps included). Does that mean he's walking? I mean he is of course but only with me standing right there to catch him. To be "walking" does he have to master the take off and landing too? Gratefully, He's not pulling himself up with out a little help. It's great fun to see him walk but I'm not ready for the chasing. I like having complete control of when he walks...how controlling is that? Which one is considered his first? The first confident step or the "do something to catch my balance steps"? Iyo!

My 10 month old purposefully hits his head on things and then fake cries about it until sometimes he really cries. Is this attention seeking behavior or experimental business like throwing food? I watch him do it and try not to make a big deal about it. I've read about kids doing it over and over and liking it...that's supposedly normal and more common with boys, but mine clearly doesn't like it. I just think it's weird and funny...just wondering if any of your kids have funny quirks like mine. I better go, he's yelling at the table.

just keeping you posted

Friday we had a mtg. with the "house people" and they said the progression from this point on will be so fun to watch. Soon they will paint the walls, inside and out. We sure love stopping by and checking out the up dates. We hope you don't mind us posting them every week, too.

My Best Bargain yet!

So here's the steal of a deal of a life time. This armoire was 80% off for damaged hinges. We got it for 230$!!! JC Penney's Furniture Outlet is the bomb. Thanks to Lisha for blog stocking and finding the store, and taking me there!!! This isn't where we will keep it but I need to touch it up before we put it in the corner. It was super heavy so we know it's solid, and quality :) We needed one that we can put in our loft that would hold the computer (which we will be using as our DVD player as well). It has a pull out key board tray and another pull out tray down below. It's just what I had in mind! Well, because we got it at such a good price (comparatively.Like 750$ off) I wouldn't feel bad painting it down the road if I wanted. This is my last piece of black furniture...I think.

Here is the BEAUTIFUL chest we also bought for 60% off but had to return because we just didn't have the space, we tried. I'm still in love with it. I've got some other ideas of how we can display our neat-o stuff. I love decorating! I've decided I'm going to finish my degree in design instead of human development. (I'm sure that will change again, don't hold me to it).

House up-date...Dry Wall is in!

One step closer. This was taken Saturday . I'm going to stop by again today and see if they've worked on the outside.

The guys were upstairs working when we stopped by! We didn't know the camera was in video mode. We celebrated the dry wall with a little hat dance.

More Camarillo trip picts...

This is Camden in the pool with Peter and his fiance, Abbey. Mom pushed Peter in the pool.
Camden's trick of the week. "Ta Da!" I think this was soothing on his teeth and entertaining at the same time. (Camden popped 3 more teeth since then).
Camden watching Grandma re-landscape the front yard.
Camden love big kid food, can you tell?
This video cracks me up...he was playing so cute, scooting himself around the tub. Then I butt in and...

LABOR DAY IN CALI!

Camden's first horsey ride. We had a great visit at the Ventura Harbor Monday evening.

Camden spent the evening in his diaper because it was so hot out.

The beach was beautiful. What a relaxing get away...and it's free!

Below is a picture of my beautiful niece, Kylie. She was so much fun! Camden loved playing with her...Thanks Ky for babysitting! You are awesome!
