Phoenix Zoo

Camden and I went to the Zoo yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. When we first arrived most o f the big animals (the ones Camden can actually see...not the wild dogs hiding behind trees or little birds in huge cages) weren't out yet so we went to the petting zoo/farm area. Here is Camden in the barn and with the cow. I should have taken picts of him petting the live animals but I didn't feel safe propping him up against one. :)

After a few hours, Camden was all zoo'd out. He slept long and hard that afternoon. We are going again today...and probably Monday, now that I have an annual pass. I can get a guest in free everytime and kids under two are free so come and join us next time you're in Phoenix!

Park, Hike, House

Our ward has a playgroup every Thursday at 10. Camden and I finally made it to one last week at the park. The weather has cooled off so it was very fun and such a good way to meet others in the ward. The bigger kids loved taking Camden down on the slides and Camden loved the swing. He always seems so content and relaxed in swings. As you can see in these first two pictures, Camden's hair is quite long. I find myself often pointing it out and apologizing to others that my boy has such a poorly groomed, shaggy fro. I've tried to cut it but it's impossible to do alone...well for me anyhow. With Pat there to sing and dance for Camden, I was able to finish the cut around the sides. I still need to cut more off the top...I'm talkin' at least an inch! (Emily, I saw that Jacey just got his hair cut! Camden doesn't have the adorable curls, but it still kills me to cut such fine, precious baby hair. Camden looks older too with his new do!)
Pat wanted to show me his mountain biking trails this weekend so Saturday morning we went for a hike. It felt sooooo good to be out and active. It was beautiful weather and we could actually see our new home community from the top of the mountain.
The place is painted! So this isn't a color I would choose but we love the lot and the floor plan, so this is what we got. I think we chose rock over brick too, so that's why we went with this elevation. They also finished our wall surrounding our property. It was cool to see the actual size of the back yard, I can't wait for that to be finished!
Big thanks in advance to Mom, MaHobbs and PaHobbs for coming out to help us pack up and move in! We love you all and can't wait to have you!

I almost forgot! We had stake conference Sunday so after our meetings we had enough time to visit our new ward to be!! We were there a good 6 months ago and some of the families still remembered us even though we only stayed for the first hour (not because of our vibrant spirits or unforgettable good looks . We think they're just hungry for help! :)) It's a small small ward with lots of young families. We met a few of the families in our new neighborhood. I guess there are like 12 families that live there. That's exciting! We'll be put right to work and have an instant network of friends and support. Just one more reason to love the church! I'm going to miss our ward but I'm so excited to be a part of this new family!

****RANDOM!! BEFORE I FORGET: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAFETY GATES? WE NEED THEM FOR THE STAIRS ASAP! THANKS!***********

We're Recruiting

Yeay, We're having another Baby! Most of you already know but I thought I better make it official and Blog it! I'm NINE weeks along, DUE May 16th.

When I found out I was prego with Camden I went to see the Doctor thinking I was about 9 weeks along. After the ultra sound, we found out I was actually 19 weeks along. We could have found out the sex that same day had Camden not been camera shy. I wasn't sick with my first pregnancy, I wish I could say the same for this one. Oh well, it could be worse. At least I have the daily reassurance that I'm still pregnant (thanks for that pep talk Larin!). Baby has a heart beat, and with a sweet date like May 16th...I think I'm having a girl.

No, this baby wasn't an accident. Yes, we're more than OK with having kids 18 1/2 months apart. :)
Bring it on!

Growing

Camden has been napping longer than usual these past few days, which is obviously a blessed thang. I'm assuming he's growing or something. Sometimes after these lengthy naps I think he's going to wake up talking or stand an inch taller or something. He also decided Yesterday that nursing is just not his thing anymore. I tried not to take it personal but couldn't help but feel REJECTED! I'm kidding. I think he stopped because the day before he bit me like 3 times and this kid's got a mouthful of teeth! A few stern no's must have turned him off (I wish that worked with playing with the computer cords). So on to whole milk we go! He loves it, He's not quite a year but there's no way I'm buying formula and going through the hassle of making it and wasting it for the next 2 1/2 weeks. He guzzles this stuff down...just like his Dad.
Sleep and milk, the essentials of any growing mans life (or not growing).

General Conference, AZHobbs Style!

Pat brought his projector home from work so we could watch conference via internet on the wall. It was great! Wasn't conference awesome?! I loved the Sunday afternoon session the most. I hope to make this a new family tradition. All are welcome to join us in April!

House Up Date

Cabinet are in. That was a surprise to us! I guess there weren't too many to put in so it wasn't as big of a deal as it could of been (cabinets can take the longest to install). The light fixtures are all up, even those on the exterior, and they look great. They also put in the pavers for our quaint little back yard. Oh, about the Cabinets, the top lip of them is the wrong color and we're not sure why but we'll make sure it's fixed before we move in on the 27 of November. That is our official closing day!
