Summer Fun

What a fun Summer! We've been very busy, enjoying every minute...especially those we've spent together. Here are a few random events caught on camera...

This is the Nursery we've just started to put together. since this pictuere was taken we've added a few more things like stars painted on the wall and a big fuzzy rug on the carpet. This is a sneak preview...stay tuned for the final room pics!!
Pat and I started our birthing classes the end of last month. It's really opened our eyes to the reality of labor and I'm a little freaked out but as long as Pat can keep his cool we'll be just fine. I just have to remember He's coming out whether I'm nervous or not...I'm sure all will be just fine.

Pat and I love the beach! In fact, picturing the two of us together with are new little boy walking down Point Mugu beach is my relaxation focal point I've chosen to calm me down during labor pains. (We'll see if it works)
is a This is a picture of Hearst's Castle. Pat and I met Laura, George, Sammy, Alex and Debbie half way between our homes in Cambria, CA for a day of fun in the sun. We toured the castle, went to the beach and out to dinner. It was a perfect day of R&R.

We also went to The Hollywood Bowl, Big Bear for the 4th of July and purchased or first "family van" (a Chevy Tahoe). I went up to Utah for a week to visit Pat's family and friends and the girls suprised me with a great suprise baby shower. I'll post pictures of those festivities and such soon.

Oh BOY!!

Yesterday, July 5th, 2006, Pat and I met our new Doctor and found out the exciting news...we're having a boy! He should be coming between October 28th and November 1st. He was soooo fun to watch on the ultrasound...I wish I had brought a camera. We still don't know what to name him but we've got a few months to figure it out. The poor thing was folded in half, with his hands AND feet in his face. We watched him wiggle around and as soon as we took a peek to find out if it was a he or she, the little shy boy put his hands over his face completely. I hope you can decifer the photos...they're all of his adorable face. See any resemblances yet?

The Big Bam!

Last night, while getting into a my newest read, lounging in the living room, I felt a rythmatic pulse of some sort in my lower stomach. At first I thought it to be a digestive something or other (just coming from the dinner table) until I remembered there was a little person in my tummy. I put my hand on my stomach and sure enough I could feel the pressure on my three fingers. Shea was sitting next me enjoying his book until I put his fingers on my stomach and we waited. There was a long pause and then Bam! The biggest and most recognizable kick I had ever felt! We screamed for Pat to come down stairs but he was talking to a very helpful techsupport man trying to get the internent running. The baby continued to jump and punch and flip for the next 3 hours or so "Daddy" was able to experience the craziness of this new adventure with me. It's amazing how much a little something like a kick in the stomach can change an entire day. I felt so blessed and so happy and excited. I didn't expect that experience to be so rewarding and joyful. I woke up in the morning with a whole new feeling. There really is a precious child growing quickly in my tummy!
All of my favorite pregnant friends and sisters out there...it gets better! (Not that I'm complaining about my pregnancy...but I know moments like the first big kick can really make the drawn out prego days worth it!)
I thought maybe I could post a picture of me in my soccer jersey and Pat in his football getup to announce the allstar kicker's first kick....but then I thought a little harder and scratched the idea.
P.S. Next Wednesday we find out if the liitle allstar is a girl or boy!! We'll keep you posted!

BIG MAMMA

5 months down, 4 to go! Some of my favorite sisters in law requested pictures of "da mamma", so here they are. I popped out about 2 weeks ago...just now starting to feel prego but loving it.
So, after I took this picture I realized that in the painting behind me (one of my favorites...reminds me of Mada) the mamma is also holding her belly!! I found that so funny!

I couldn't figure out how to turn this picture around, without getting out of blog editing...sorry. Today is my first day as full time mom-to-be and wife. No more worky work work! I'm soooo spoiled! Got big plans that will keep me plenty busy...Cinemagic Assistant Director, Mural business, Team Hobbs Blog Editor, Baby Prep...Stuff, Water Aerobics Champion...and the great list goes on!!

Suprise Pat...It's your Birthday! Love, Arbor Glen

June 14, PAT aged a year older and wiser. Arbor Glen threw him a suprise party with a pinata and cake! yummy yum yum...I know why they didn't invite his pregnant wife!
Pat is such a great leader. Arbor Glen will greatly miss him. He learned so much over the past 3 months and hopes he was able to leave a mark there by setting an example of the true "Ensign Group" culture. I'm so lucky to be married to a man who strives to make a difference for the better and thrives on being successful in all his endevours.

Trip Down Memory Lane

Well, now there's visable proof that Patrick and I are really married...sorry to all for not going through pictures sooner and shareing! Life's been a little crazy...but isn't it always? (Especially Ours! One suprise or adventure after another...just the way we like it!).

We were married in the Newport Beach Temple
January 6, 2006.
It was such a FUN and GLORIOUS day!

Up to Date

We have recently received the very best of news! Most of you know we are expecting a little one to join us before the end of the year. Well, after our first ultrasound this past Monday the 6th, We've learned we are 10 weeks farther along than we had expected. Anndalyn is now 20 weeks along...being completely obliveous during the first trimester of her pregnancy...getting a clue and testing positive during her 13th week!

"I thought I was just tired and adjusting to a recent move, job (or lack of)...maybe the whole new marriage thing. Or that I still had mono!"

We are soooo excited for "it" to join us two months earlier than expected, End of October - Beginning of November.

"This is the fastest and easiest pregnacy I've ever heard of!"

We also Found out this week that we will be returning to the promised land...Camarillo, CA! Pat was offered the administrator position in the Camarillo facility
so we jumped on the opportunity and will be trecking back to Anndalyn's home town at the end of the month. Being closer to family, the beach and friends is a dream come true! We've never felt so watched over and blessed in our lives.

Enjoy the first few pictures of the growing one in Anndalyn's belly! (We think it's a boy...a camera shy boy! The Doctor agrees...but she said the chances, based on her observation are about 50% (?!?))
